Rated 5 out of 5by Notorios Only CD-R's I buy
Love the black, wouldn't go back to regular CD-R's, much better at handling scratches and they just look better.

Q. Can you Write on Memorex (BLACK) CD-R
A. YES
I use (Silver) Metallic Sharpie's 4pack from Office Depot to write on these Memorex (BLACK) CD-R and it looks awesome with just a little practice.. ..So don't let anyone tell you you can't write on them b/c it's just not true, you just have to think outside the box.. You can even Buy printable CD labels if you prefer...
This will be my 5th 50pack purchased since 2009.
I have (only) purchased these Memorex (BLACK) CD-R 50pack In-Store for $17.99 + Tax at Office Depot until now.
This time I ordered them online 2x 50pack's for $32.32 (total price) that included shipping to my home. b/c I could no longer find them in Office/D stores.
I like making music CD's for friends and family. I also use them for data storage.
I hope you enjoy your new purchase of Memorex (BLACK) CD-R.
* Remember you may have to buy them on-line I don't know if you can get the 50pack In-Store anymore.

Rated 4 out of 5by gz2313 Good quality, but BLACK???
Usually, a stack of CD's is either good or bad. I've had some over the years that I had to expect over 10% were going to be bad. And that's not good! I've always trusted Memorex, and although I've only used a few of this stack, I'm sure they'll be trustworthy.
The only surprise was that they are black. Really? Black? It was my fault for not thoroughly reading the description, because it (somewhat) plainly says they're black, but you can't write on a black face with anything. Sure, you can write on the sleeve, or get those funky, stick-on labels, but that is just so 20th-century archaic.
Bottom line: good quality, with the caveat--they're really black!

Rated 5 out of 5by Pappy Memorex CD-R Black
I am the president and founder of Slidell Baptist Seminary in Slidell, LA. Our school uses thousands of CD-Rs each year as all our courses are recorded and placed on CDs. Therefore, we use many different brands of CDs. Some have a bigger failure rate than others. In other words, we buy spindles of 100 at a time and normally, 3 or 4 CDs will fail out of the one hundred. This particular CD, the black Memorex has a very low failure rate. Out of every 100, you might have one or two to fail. I feel this is a dependable CD for what we need and because of the low failure rate, I would highly recommend them.
